1. Introduction

1.1 General Description

 

Wozix (Wozterm for unix) is a Unix command line version of Wozterm. Like Wozterm, Wozix is designed for interaction with AXE and System 12 exchanges. However, Wozix is designed for robot applications that do not require user interaction, and hence does not supply a graphical user interface.

Wozix uses the same OVM script language as Wozterm. Scripts written for Wozterm can run under Wozix provided they do not contain those keywords that require user interaction, or use the text and time event keywords. Currently Wozix also supports some @stream keywords for end users that are not supported as yet by Wozterm.

Wozix has been used in a number of robot applications to collect and process data from exchanges.




1.2 Purpose

 

This User Manual intends to provide a brief introduction to Wozix.




1.3 Target Audience

 

This documentation is intended for existing users of Wozterm to also build applications for Wozix. This documentation will not cover those language features that are common to both Wozterm and Wozix.

Wozix is currently in production release. Both the Wozix Application and this document are subject to change without notice.
