           1 GENERAL INFORMATION

           1.1 INTRODUCTION

This document summarizes the supplementary services and pro-
perties available for an ISDN-E subscriber.

           1.2 REVISION INFORMATION

This FS is based on the FS 16/155 17-APR 101 20 Uen, Rev A.
The category CORIPABX has been added. It was by mistake left
out in the previous revision. Some minor changes and edito-
rial changes have also been made after validation of the
                      document.

                      ples, ISDN-E

           1.4 CONCEPTS

           1.4.1 Access Number

An Access Related Individual Number which identifies the
whole access for subscriber data administration purpose.

           1.4.2 Default Calling Number (DCN)

Number to be used in case a user provided number is not
                      accepted or not available.

           1.4.3 Extension Module Group (EMG)

This is a hardware concept and means that hardware devices
of certain types are grouped together. The concept is also
used for addressing and maintaining hardware devices in a
uniform way. For example EMG's of regional subscriber stage
type (RSS) are used for giving certain subscriber properties
default values on per EMG basis. Subscribers connected via a
specific RSS's can hereby be assigned a certain set of prop-
erties with "EMG default" values different from the normal
default property values (according to application parame-
                      ters).

The reason for this mechanism is that these subscribers may
have different origins for charging and can have different
routing for emergency calls to the police etc. For more
                      details see FS (ref2).

           1.4.4 Hunting Group (HG)

A hunting group can be defined as a list of B-channels
linked together. B-channels belonging to different accesses
types can be mixed within the same HG. It is possible for a
B-channel to be member of several hunting groups.

           1.4.5 Mail Box Entity (MBE)

Mail Box Entity is the entity which records and stores a
message and initiate the message waiting indication to the
served user. Used for supplementary services CABF, CABV,
CACF, CACV, CANRF, CANRV, CAUF and CAUV.

           1.4.6 MBE-number

A MBE-number is an ISDN/PSTN number of the MBE. The MBE-num-
ber may also be referred to as the forwarded-to number. A
subaddress can be added to the ISDN MBE-number. Used for
supplementary services CABF, CABV, CACF, CACV, CANRF, CANRV,
                      CAUF and CAUV.

           1.4.7 Reference Points

                      S/T - coincident S and T reference point

The coincident S and T reference point is used in a Single
Basic Access application, or a Multi Access (Line Hunting)
                      application.

                      T - T reference point

The T reference point is used in a Single Customer applica-
tion and a Multi Customer application.

           1.4.8 Subscriber Number Types

                      Access Related Individual Number (AIN)

Subscriber Number connected to an access. This subscriber
number type can be connected to any access type (Basic
Access (BA), Primary Rate Access (PRA)).

                      Group Number Related Number (GRN)

Any number with a relation to a Group Number route.

                      *          Group Number (GN)
Subscriber Number which identifies a Group Number
                                 route.

                      * Group Number Related Individual Number (GIN)
Individual Subscriber Number which has a relation
                                 to a Group Number.

           2 FUNCTION

           2.1 PROPERTIES

Properties are a "category set" which define how various
aspects of a call shall be handled, e.g. basic call, charg-
ing, some supplementary service control. Properties are com-
mon characteristics which cannot be regarded as categories
for Basic Services, Supplementary Services or Supplementary
                      Service Options.

Properties may be linked to Accesses, AIN's, GN's and GIN
subscriber number types. Access level properties apply to
the whole access. Individual level properties apply to indi-
vidual numbers and may have different values for individual
numbers allocated to the access. The properties cannot exist
on both levels at the same time. Some properties can be set
on access level only and some properties can be set on AIN-
level only. Other properties may be set on access or AIN
dependent on an application parameter, however they cannot
be set on both levels at the same time.

When the first AIN is allocated, default values for access
level properties are obtained from application parameters
and assigned on access level. Default values for individual
level properties are obtained from application parameters
and assigned on individual level. When a new AIN is allo-
cated to the access the values for its individual properties
will be obtained from the AIN with the AN property set.

Some of the properties in the property list below are marked
as EMG default property. This means that a special default
value on per EMG basis may be assigned to this property and
used when connecting an AIN type subscriber number. Assign-
ing these properties EMG default values is made by an
exchange data command. See FS (ref2).

For GRN's there exists properties which are applicable for
GN's only and properties which are applicable for GIN's
only. Default values for these properties are obtained from
application parameters. Properties which are applicable for
both GN's and GIN's are obtained from application parameters
when the GN is allocated. When a GIN is allocated, these
properties are initialized by the settings on the related
                      GN.

           2.1.1 Property List

The actual properties that may be assigned to different
ISDN-E subscriber number types are listed below. The prop-
erty designation with its value range is specified together
with the recommended default value and applicable subscriber
number types. The default values are set with application
                      parameters.

(0-1) 0 - No addition of Trunk and International prefix
1 - Addition of Trunk and International prefix

This property makes it possible to, before sending
them to the user, format calling, connected, redirecting
and redirection numbers according to the network dialling
plan by adding a Trunk Prefix to a national (significant)
number and an International Prefix to an international
                       number.

           AN Access Number

With the Access Number property, the administration has
means to give properties or subscriber services on access
level, which have significance to all numbers allocated
to the access. The AN property is set to the first AIN
allocated for an Access. When more than one AIN are
allocated any one of them can get the AN property.
At any time, only one AIN can have the AN property.

                       Recommended default value: Not applicable

                       Applicability: AIN

           ASC A-Subscriber Characteristics

                       1 - Coincident S and T reference point
                       2 - T reference point

This property is applicable for accesses and GNs.

The initial value for an GN is set when the GN is
created and provided with a reference point.

When the first number related to an access is an GN,
the initial value for the access is copied from the GN.

When the first number related to an access is an AIN,
the initial value is set according to the access
configuration. The reference point is by default set
to S/T if the access configuration is
                       point-to-multipoint.
The reference point is by default set to T, if the access
                       configuration is point-to-point.

subscriber procedures and gives the possibility to
operate services on the group number (GN).
The initial value is set according to the reference
point. If reference point is S/T, the RGNALLW is
set to 0 (zero). If reference point is set to T,
the RGNALLW is set to 1 (one).

This supplementary service enables the served

the call. The served user's ability to originate

                                 to the called user.

                      CLIR CALLING LINE IDENTIFICATION RESTRICTION

This supplementary service is a service offered
to the calling user. It may restrict the presen-
tation of the calling user's ISDN number and sub-
address (if any) to the called user. The calling
user can with a subscriber procedure make a CLIR
request on a per-call basis (either to allow or
restrict the presentation) or the presentation
restriction can be made permanently with a sub-
                                 scription option.

                                 RESTRICTION OVERRIDE

This supplementary service is a variant of CLIP
offered to special users (e.g. police and emer-

tion about the calling user is presented
regardless of possible restrictions e.g. a
restriction indication caused by the CLIR supple-
                                 mentary service.

This supplementary service provides the calling
party with the possibility of receiving identifi-
cation of the connected party. It provides the
connected user's number or information about
restriction or number not available. If connected
user's number is presented, the possible con-
nected user's subaddress information is also pre-
                                 sented to the calling user.

This supplementary service provides the connected
party with the possibility to decide, either to

restriction can be made permanently with a sub-
                                 scription option.

                      CONF CONFERENCE CALL

This supplementary service provides a user with
the ability to have a multi-connection call, i.e.
a simultaneous communication between more than
                                 two parties.

                      CORIPABX Corporate ISPABX service

The Corporate ISPABX service allows ISPABX sub-
scribers to belong to a special Virtual Private
Network (VPN). This will provide special charging
rates for those calls made among users of the
same VPN. Special supplementary services are only
                                 applicable inside the private network.

                      CUG CLOSED USER GROUP

This supplementary service enables users to form
groups, to and from which access is restricted.

A specific user may be a member of one or more
CUG's. Members of a specific CUG can communicate
among themselves but not, in general, with users
outside the group. Specific CUG members can have
additional capabilities that allow them to origi-
nate calls outside the group and/or to receive
                                 calls from outside the group.

                      CW CALL WAITING

This supplementary service permits a subscriber,
whose B-channels are busy, to be informed of an
incoming call. The user then has the choice of
accepting, rejecting or ignoring the waiting
                                 call.

                      DRING BGC DISTINCTIVE RINGING

The BGC Distinctive Ringing supplementary service
makes it possible for the served user to distin-
guish between incoming PSTN calls and incoming
                                 public calls.

                      EA EQUAL ACCESS

This supplementary service enables a user to pre-
                                 determine International and National Carrier
Access Codes. The served user may also change the
Carrier Access Codes by subscriber procedure.

                      ECT EXPLICIT CALL TRANSFER

This supplementary service enables a user to
transform two of his/her calls into a new call
between the remote users in the two calls.

                      FDC FIXED DESTINATION CALL

This supplementary service enables a user to have
an automatic setup to a predetermined number by
the action of the subscriber lifting the handset.
The service is available with and without time-
out. With timeout indicates that the predeter-
mined number will be selected after a
prespecified timeout period. Dialling prior to
the timeout enables the subscriber to make normal
                                 outgoing calls.

                      HOLD CALL HOLD

This supplementary service allows a user to
interrupt communications on an existing call (put
the call on hold) and then subsequently, if
                                 desired, re-establish communications (retrieve
the previous held call) or make an additional
                                 call to another user.

                      ICI IMMEDIATE CALL ITEMIZATION

This supplementary service makes detailed tele-
                                 communication service data available immediately
after call/service termination or at partial out-
put. The data is formatted and sent to an output
medium. The service can be performed for calling
                                 parties.

                      INTS INTERCEPTION SERVICE

This supplementary service permits provision of a
suitable indication to the calling party on calls
which cannot be completed because of a particular
                                 out-of-service condition.

                      IS IMMEDIATE SERVICE

This supplementary service makes it possible for
a served user to receive the price charged for a
call, call attempt or subscriber service, imme-
diately after the call has terminated. When the
call data is collected the information is output
by an announcement machine or on a locally or
                                 remotely situated printer.

                      MCID MALICIOUS CALL IDENTIFICATION

This supplementary service allows a served user
to request identification of the source of an
incoming call and store that information in the
network. The MCID data will automatically be
stored for each incoming call to a subscriber
                                 marked for MCID.

MWIR MESSAGE WAITING INDICATION, RECEIVING USER

The Message Waiting Indication (MWI) supplemen-
tary service provides the receiving user with the
capability to receive an indication, that at
least one message is available in his/her mail
box. Having received this indication, the receiv-
ing user can subsequently access the mail box, to
                                 have the mail delivered.

                      OCBF OUTGOING CALL BARRING, FIXED

This supplementary service makes it possible for
a served user to prevent all outgoing calls
dependent on the destination or just those asso-
ciated with a specific basic service, which are
intended to be originated from his/her access.
For this service one destination dependent bar-
ring program for outgoing calls is activated.
The subscriber cannot control the supplementary
service by means of a subscriber procedure.

OCBV OUTGOING CALL BARRING, USER CONTROLLED

This supplementary service makes it possible for
a served user to prevent all outgoing calls
dependent on the destination or just those asso-
ciated with a specific basic service, which are
intended to be originated from his/her access.
For this service one or more barring programs can
be selected. The subscriber can activate and in
some cases change the used barring program by
                                 means of a subscriber procedure.

PCONA PREVENT CALL OFFERING FOR NON AUTHORIZED CALL

This supplementary service enables the possibil-
ity to control setup of calls, in combination
with other service, for instance to IN services.
When a subscriber has PCONA active and the IN
node has added the service interaction indicator
'call not allowed' in the IAM message the call is
rejected. If, instead, the interaction indicator
set to 'call allowed' the call is set up.
When the service PCONA denies the call setup the
                                 call is rejected.

                      RH REDUCED HUNTING

This supplementary service is an add on service
to both Line Hunting and Trunk Hunting. With the
Reduced Hunting service activated the hunting is
restricted to specifically marked hunting groups.
It is possible for the served user to alternate
between the complete number of HG's and a reduced
                                 number of HG's.

                      SUB SUBADDRESSING

This supplementary service allows the called user
to expand his addressing capacity beyond the one
                                 given by the ISDN number.

                      TP TERMINAL PORTABILITY

This supplementary service allows a user to
transfer a call from one terminal to another or
to move a terminal from one socket to another
within the same basic access during the active
                                 phase of the call.

                      TPY THREE PARTY

This supplementary service enables a user to
establish, participate in and control a three-way
